Enugwu Nanka Community identi ies with the Alumni in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the then 'Boys' but now Community Secondary School Nanka. I am glad to identify with the Alumni as a member and product of the school on one hand and in another hand, the present General Chairman of Enugwu Nanka Community that hosts the school with apt hospitality since inception. No one gives what he does not have. We have hospitality and we give hospitality

Enugwu Nanka indigenes have uncommon zeal, determination and strength that propel progress within the community. It is these endowments that begat special community developmental enthusiasm that in turn gave birth to the school we are celebrating today at its 40 presently. Enugwu Nanka village did not wait for Nanka in ensuring the take off of the school 40 years ago. They determined in their usual manner to do it as a village and Nanka as a whole later understood and keyed in with them. It is our exceptional hospitality that encourage the irst set of students mainly then from Awka to settle down in the school and none boarded seek transfer till they graduated from the school. Our students, especially those in the boarding section can attest to this fact. My aunt Mrs Josephine Ezeokweghi - Mama Joy as known then sacrificed a full provision shop to the students. That is our branded hospitality. Hope she should be remembered.

We confirm that the love Enugwu Nanka has for this school is still as of old. She has never forsaken it for once even when the state government that owns it appears to be doing so. The government policies at a stage crippled the activities badly that it lost all its glamour including hosting WAEC Examinations for about 4 years. Thank God that the school has produced a great number of well placed personalities including yours sincerely. I came in as an elected Chairman of this noble community (Enugwu Nanka) in August 2015. Rev. Chidolue upon being informed that I am the current chairman of the Community and a product of the School called my attention to rescue the already drowning school. Of imminent importance then was its inability to host WAEC candidates for about 4 years at a stretch. As a lifeline, my administration sought for, registered and paid WEAC registration fees for 30 students at irst instance in 2016. From then, such examinations are being taken uninterrupted till date. We also lend a hand in tackling other problems ranging from light installation, teachers' matters and fighting with hoodlums that want to use part of the school as their launchpad or cover . We can't thank God enough for the current government of the old students association who came with great vigour to continue from where we stopped though we cannot even stop.

Before I conclude, may I announce that one of the illustrious sons of Enugwu Nanka in our benevolence and hospitality character, has embarked on fencing the whole school to enhance security in the school. He is Chief Peter Ebere Chinedu, (Onwa Gburugburu Nanka). He has acquired 500 trips of sand for block making which commences in January. In sustaining our hospitality spirit, we have renovated some buildings through some individuals and all these decisions were taken in our general meetings.
